In December 2009, the Village acquired the Sears Centre Arena through a Deed in Lieu of Foreclosure process. The Village hired Global Spectrum, headquartered in Philadelphia, to manage the day-to-day operations of the Arena, as well as to book entertainment and sporting events. Global Spectrum has long established ties with entertainment promoters and operates three dozen indoor arenas across the country. In the first year of operating and managing the Sears Centre Arena, Global Spectrum achieved the highest event revenue ever, while significantly reducing costs for the best bottom line since the Sears Centre Arena opened in 2006. Global Spectrum employs 20+ personnel at the Sears Centre Arena, with Ben Gibbs as the General Manager.
The Village also hired Levy Food Service (headquartered in Chicago) to provide food and beverage service at the Sears Centre Arena. Levy is known nationally as a high-quality food and beverage provider to indoor and outdoor concert, entertainment and sports venues.
Open positions at the Sears Centre Arena can be found on Global Spectrum's website.
