Every owner or operator of a motor vehicle that weighs more than 8,001 pounds and is registered in the Village of Hoffman Estates or has a base in the Village is required to obtain a vehicle license every year.
Vehicle Licenses expire every April 30. New licenses for the current fiscal year must be purchased by April 30 in order to comply with the ordinance. Late fines of 50% of the fee are assessed after May 1.
In order to assist you with this task, you may complete an application (PDF), pay the applicable fee as shown below, and your new vehicle stickers(s) will be mailed to you. You may also purchase your vehicle stickers(s) in person at the Village Hall during regular business hours.
